"Societies in Transition: Energy, Climate and Oceans - Impacts on the Global Economy"

 

In cooperation with the Dräger Foundation and other institutes the 5th Alumni Conference of the Round Table USA took place in Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen.

January 27-February 3, 2010

 

The members of the "Round Table USA" were using the opportunity to foster an increased dialogue between their alumni from the US and Germany, as has been proven to be successful on seminar journeys of this kind before. Using this procedure the efficiency and sustainability of the coordination of transatlantic projects could be altered effectively.

The participants of this journey travelled to Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen in the time period from January 27 to February 3. Meetings with high-ranking government representatives, experts from NGOs and scholars were planned for the stay in Berlin. The activities of the journey continued in Hamburg with a mixture of symposia, project visits and different networking occasions. In Copenhagen the participants met several politicians, scholars and were able to experience some projects in real life.
