On November 15, 2012, the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the F.A.Z.-Institut, the Federation of German Industries BDI and the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) Initiative have hosted the Annual Transatlantic Business Conference ?The Transatlantic Marketplace: Challenges and Opportunities Beyond 2012? for the sixth time.

As one of the most important transatlantic events in Frankfurt, the annual fall conference provides an outstanding networking opportunity for leading business executives and high-ranking politicians. It explores critically important issues facing the transatlantic economic relationship. With exciting presentations, podium discussions featuring international panelists and distinguished speakers as well as in-depth practical workshops, the event aims to promote transatlantic dialogue and breathe new life into the long-standing relationship.

This year, we had the honor of hosting many prominent speakers, including Reinhard Clemens, Member of the Board of Management, Deutsche Telekom AG & CEO, T-Systems;  Dr. Roland Busch, Member of the Board of Management and CEO Infrastructure & Cities Sector, Siemens AG; Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Keitel, President, BDI and many more.

The conference took place at a new, modern venue directly at Frankfurt Airport and gave an excellent opportunity to discuss the implications of the U.S. presidential elections for the transatlantic economic relationship.
